Groundswell is a fully distributed law firm committed to supporting emerging businesses with a focus on the web3 ecosystem.

We’re a team of friends, with decades of experience counseling high-growth corporations, startups, and entrepreneurs. In our tenure, we’ve led teams at Gibson Dunn, Skadden Arps, and Bryan Cave. We’ve worked alongside founders raising seed to Series D financings, taken companies public via IPO, and even managed multinational, multibillion dollar mergers. 

But in all of our experience, no wave has inspired us more than the coming groundswell of decentralization - of work, of organizations, and of the Internet. Thus, we formed Groundswell Advisors - the first-ever “law firm 3.0” - to support this once-in-a-generation transformation. 

We offer a full menu of corporate, transactional, and business advisory services to the creators, organizations, and pioneers designing the economies of tomorrow.  Our practice includes corporate transactions and organizational design, as well as tax and trusts and estates.  We also offer strategic advice on governance, tokenomics, and community development.
